Coastal Fresh Home Cleaning – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions outline the service expectations, safety guidelines, and payment requirements for clients engaging Coastal Fresh Home Cleaning.
By booking a service, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following:

1. Quotes & Pricing
  • All online prices listed on our website are average price guides only and may vary depending on the condition, size, and layout of each home.

  • A final quote will be confirmed after an in-person walkthrough and discussion of your needs and preferences.

  • Once accepted, the agreed quote forms the final service price unless additional services are requested.

2. Cancellations, Lock-Outs & Rescheduling
  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

  • If cleaners are unable to access the property upon arrival (e.g. keys not left out, no one home, locked gates, etc.), a 75% lock-out fee will apply.

  • Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment to avoid cancellation fees.

3. Payment Terms
  • Payment is due on the day of and prior to the commencement of the service.

  • Accepted payment methods: cash, bank transfer, pay ID, or other agreed electronic payment.

  • Failure to make payment may result in service refusal and future booking restrictions.

4. Pets & Home Safety
  • All pets should be secured for their safety and the safety of our cleaners.

  • Cleaners cannot be held responsible for pets escaping through open doors or windows during cleaning, as safe ventilation and equipment movement require these to be open at times.

  • Please notify us in advance if pets will be on-site during your appointment.

5. Home Condition & Misrepresentation
  • Clients must provide accurate information about the home’s size, condition, and cleaning requirements during quoting.

  • If the property’s condition is significantly different from the description provided / in-person inspection (e.g. excessive clutter, heavy build-up, pet mess, construction dust, or biohazard risks), Coastal Fresh Home Cleaning reserves the right to:

    • Adjust the final service price to reflect additional labour/time required; or

    • Refuse or terminate the service, with the applicable 75% lock-out fee applied.

6. Safety & Work Conditions
  • Under Work Health & Safety laws (Australia), cleaners reserve the right to end a service immediately if they feel unsafe due to:

    • Aggressive or inappropriate behaviour

    • Hazardous materials or biohazards

    • Contagion concerns

    • Active construction or unsafe work environments

    • Electrical, plumbing, or structural issues posing risk

  • In such cases, the 75% lock out fee will be payable

7. Service Quality & Re-Cleans
  • Coastal Fresh Home Cleaning aims for a consistently high standard of work.
  • If you are dissatisfied with your service, contact us within 24 hours of completion to arrange a remedial re-clean.

  • Re-cleans will be scheduled promptly to correct any reasonable concerns.

  • Refunds are not offered, as service time and resources have been expended.

8. Client Responsibilities
  • Please ensure:

    • Access to the property is available at the agreed start time.

    • Water, electricity, and safe lighting are provided.

    • Areas to be cleaned are free from fragile, hazardous, or irreplaceable items.

  • Coastal Fresh Home Cleaning are insured for personal and property liability and will take all reasonable care and diligence when working in your home but cannot accept liability for:

    • Pre-existing damage or wear

    • Items not properly secured or already broken

    • Damage caused by faulty fixtures, fittings, or appliances.

9. Weather & Force Majeure
  • In the event of extreme weather, power outages, or unforeseen emergencies, bookings may be rescheduled at no additional cost.

10. Illness & Health Safety
  • Clients must notify Coastal Fresh Home Cleaning as soon as possible if anyone in the household is unwell with a contagious illness (including COVID-19, influenza, gastroenteritis, etc.) at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled service time.
  • Services may be postponed or rescheduled at no charge in these cases.

  • Cancellations due to illness will not incur a fee, provided notice is given 1 hour before the cleaner’s scheduled arrival.

  • Cleaners reserve the right to refuse or end a service if illness / contagion is observed on arrival, in which case rebooking will be arranged once the household has recovered.

11. Agreement

By requesting a booking with Coastal Fresh Home Cleaning, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
